Rammstein Releases 'World Stadium Tour 2019-2024' Behind-The-Scenes Documentary

During the five-year global tour, the German industrial metal titans performed in 135 shows on massive constructed stages in front of more than six million fans. The band expressed their gratitude, stating: “We thank our crew, our management, all our employees and everyone who has supported us and remained loyal along this journey.”

The hour-long video description reads the following: “From 2019 to 2024, a video team followed the production, focusing on the impressive efforts of the crew and their various trades. The footage provides an authentic and powerful look behind the scenes of the production: from intricate stage construction and lighting design to pyrotechnics, logistics, and countless other tasks. It highlights the expertise, tireless dedication, close collaboration, and sense of responsibility of an exceptional crew — qualities essential to creating a show of this magnitude.”

Their journey began in 2019 and went on with the most recent European shows which took place in May 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic, before wrapping up with two monumental concerts in July 2024, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

The band’s latest album called “Zeit” ([EN] “Time”) was released in April 2022. Till Lindemann (vocals), Paul Landers (guitar), Richard Kruspe (guitar), Christian Lorenz (keyboards), Oliver Riedel (bass) and Christoph Schneider (drums) spent two years working on the LP’s eleven songs.

Nevertheless, several allegations were made against frontman Till Lindemann in May 2023, accusing him of sexual misconduct throughout the time of the tour. A number of women claimed that they were recruited for after show parties, allegedly to engage in sexual activities with Lindemann. Consequently, these accusations led to German authorities investigating the case. Even so, in August 2023 they were dropped by prosecutors due to insufficient evidence, with Lindemann’s legal team persistently denying the allegations and describing them as “without exception untrue.”

As a response to these accusations, Rammstein also suspended certain practices, such as the “Row Zero” system which offered a select group of Rammstein fans an exclusive concert experience. The chosen concertgoers were actually female fans who were given the opportunity to stand right before the stage at the very front of the gig. Interestingly enough, the selection process for the ‘Row Zero’ system was conducted weeks in advance by a casting (woman) director and not handled by the band itself. The experience began with a pre-party long before the actual show, where attendees were brought into a private area so that they could spend time with the band, including Lindemann himself.

Rammstein's frontman recently released a new solo track, “Meine Welt” ([EN] “My World”), which is sharing its name with Lindemann's 2025 European tour. The upcoming tour begins in October in Leipzig, Germany and runs until December with a performance in Stuttgart, Germany. Still, he is also set to perform at different European rock festivals beforehand, in June and July.

From carefully crafted stage designs up to the famous flamethrowers and behind their mad logistics, you can watch all of the details in Rammstein’s 'World Stadium Tour 2019-2024' full documentary here.
