The Fods Band - Legendary Rock Band Returns

In a time when digital streaming and the fusion of musical genres are prevalent, the return of a classic rock & indie band evokes a profound sense of nostalgia. This year, fans of The Fods Band can look forward to a thrilling experience as the legendary band returns to the stage, rekindling the fervor and vitality that have sustained their music for many years.

The Fods Band was founded in 2023 in Cheshire, UK as a student band originally called “Don't ARgue”. They put some songs together, played a few gigs, won a competition of the bands and then got separated.

Their genre and influences are far more than just rock & indie. In an interview with Metal Amplified, The Fods Band have stated: “Our influence and genres are broad and varied. We grew up listening to 80s & 90s rock and indie, anything from Motley Crue to Ministry via the Madchester and Seattle scenes”.

In regards to their epic return, they added: “The Fods Band have spent the last 15 months revisiting what went down in the 90s and rebuilt these songs using some incredible indie talent. Several protagonists from our native North West England have been involved, along with talent from Scotland, the North East and the South West of the UK, together with contributions from New York, New Jersey and Toronto in the Americas”.

The “Don't ARgue” is now the name of a new project they recently completed which have been years in the making.  It consists of 7 songs and 7 styles!

We also asked them about their current line up, here is the response: “Robert James Critchley & Paul Ol Collins are the main protagonists, who are composing writing and putting together the material, augmented by Al Winn & Ez Ranson who bring noise when required. We then scour the indie landscape for the best singers around to add their voice to our tunes”.

Whether you’re already a fan or are just discovering their music, now it is time to honor the enduring legacy and promising future of one of rock's fastest growing bands.

The following is a list of all their songs as described by The Fods Band themselves:

1- Metal Dog; A raucous Industrial / Nu(ish) Metal opener that gives the EP a noisy start. Vocal by Danny from Teddy Head, backed by The Fods Ensemble.

2- My Fine Derangement; A huge Rock number which has been the EPs biggest streamed number to date with over 37k streams. Vocal by Birch of Go Birch.

3- You've Not Got Me; The lead single which introduced The Fods to an indie Punk audience from the off. This song is the roots of Don't ARgue. Vocal by Birch.

4- Kickback; A rock anthem. It builds and builds and used to be the center piece of the original live performance. The third vocal by Birch.

5- Good Nights Sleep; Indie, light hearted until you listen to what's happening. Vocal in-house by Fod Al, with a bit of backing by Fods Ol and Rob (whose part was recorded in 1995!).

6- Volumes of Silence; An indie rock banger, steeped in 90s nostalgia but bang up to date in execution. Vocal by Jeff of JHM (Ontario) and MJ Adamo (Long Island, NY).

7- Easter; Pure Metal, a hard hit at hypocrisy and a huge way to bring the EP to a noisy, perfectly executed conclusion, vocal by Teddy Head, with backing from Fods Ez and Rob.
